Hey Hey!

I’m Amanda, a leadership coach for women who care about leaving a mark on their teams, their organizations, their communities, and our world.

Finally, a Coach Who’s Been There

Here to help you leverage and amplify what already makes you a great leader

✓ Here to guide you through unpacking and offloading some of the habits that have been holding you back

✓ Here to understand the balls in the air, the burnout at your heels, and the priorities you’re constantly reframing

✓ Here to support you with strategies and techniques to lead with empathy, accountability, radical honesty, and enthusiasm

✓ Here to value integrity and intention as much as you do

My Background

I spent the first part of my career in nonprofit leadership, working with both grassroots community organizations and large-scale national institutions. Like many fundraisers, I fell into the work and quickly discovered both the challenges and the thrill of connecting people with meaningful causes. Twenty years later, I had built high-performing teams, expanded programs and impact, and fostered deeper, more sustainable community engagement that strengthened partnerships and amplified mission-driven work.

Throughout my career, I've led teams, sat on boards, collaborated across sectors, mentored emerging leaders, and helped talented colleagues step into leadership roles. These experiences showed me the power of coaching in unlocking potential and driving meaningful impact, which led me to pursue it formally.

After stepping away from full-time non-profit work, I earned my coaching accreditation through American University and became an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coaching Federation. Now, I bring both firsthand nonprofit experience and evidence-based coaching strategies to help social impact leaders navigate challenges with clarity and confidence.

Our Values

When we live by the same core priorities every day, we shape the way we show up with everyone we serve. Here are the values we commit to together.

  • When we commit to understanding and connecting with our emotions, we grow individually and collectively. So I bring empathy to my approach (after all, I’ve been in your shoes). And I invite you to bring empathy to your sessions every day. When you cut yourself a break—and look for yourself in the experiences of your peers and reports—you’ll create reciprocal understanding that has long-term impact.

  • When we promise to take ownership of our actions, we are more likely to show up and follow through. By choosing leadership coaching, you’re committing to holding yourself accountable as you navigate your growth journey. And I’m committing to being accountable to you every step of the way. Because nothing makes me happier than seeing social impact leaders realize their wildest dreams by sticking to their vision.

  • When we refuse to sell ourselves the same stories we’ve habitually used for years, we can finally break through to our fullest potential. So when I see you falling into old patterns or narratives, I’ll tell it like it is. And I’ll invite you to do the same. As you begin to own your journey over time, you’ll start to notice those patterns, find ways to mitigate them, and ultimately shape new stories that light you up, rather than holding you down.

  • When we put stock in the power of optimistic thinking, there’s no telling what we might achieve. This isn’t about manifesting, moodboarding, or blind positivity—it’s about bringing genuine enthusiasm, creativity, and openness to your leadership journey, no matter where it leads. So I’ll be your biggest cheerleader, and I encourage you to do the same. After all, no one’s more well-suited to the job (or more invested in the outcome).

Fun Facts

I love road trips!  There are always unexpected adventures along the way—fueled by Wawa subs and Red Vines and stopping at side-of-the-road hikes, scenic spots, or quirky tourist sites.

✓ I was born out west, raised in the south, and have made my home in the Mid-Atlantic. So I love the mountains, say y’all a lot, and am masterful at cracking into Maryland blue crabs.

✓ In partnership with my husband, we’re raising two boys and our rescue pup, Hudson. As with my work with ABF Coaching, I’m on a mission to help my boys become their authentic selves and uplift those around them. Currently, that means keeping up with football stats for our family fantasy league and navigating a house overrun by LEGO creations.

I love dancing and singing along to Musak in the grocery store. Especially if it’s Tina Turner, Steve Wynwood, Huey Lewis—or random songs from the late ‘90s.

✓ My skill with active listening and thoughtful question-asking comes from my dad, a retired psych professor. And my drive to run my own business comes from my mom, a woman known to rock a power suit.

“Amanda’s patient observation and thoughtful guidance have been a game-changer for me personally and professionally. Her ability to approach each session with both an open mind and a cadre of expert resources is what makes her unique. And her authenticity allows her clients to be present and vulnerable as well.”

Women Know How to Lead

We have the expertise, insight, and drive to excel—we’ve just been socialized to ignore or downplay our instincts far too often. I’m here to help you understand and optimize them instead.
